Welcome!

Hi! and thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet. It’s been a long time coming for this website to finally come into its own, through lots of internal debates, questions of whether or not I really needed a site, or what purpose it would ultimately serve. When it finally came down to it, I knew I wanted to do something a little bit different.

I’ve visited many sites, especially photographer websites and filmmaker websites. Many of those take on this third-person voice style, speaking of themselves very briefly and showcasing just a touch of their work. There’s nothing wrong with that approach, nothing at all. I just know that it isn’t for me. Granted, I struggled to figure out what voice I should write in, or what style of writing I should go with. In the end, I just started typing and what came out is what you get.

This blog, will hopefully be a place where I can share some of my thoughts, as well as some of my experiences on this journey of being (becoming) a filmmaker. I like the projects I’ve worked on, I like the videos/films that I’ve completed, but with every completed project, I know that there are additional things I would have liked to do, or changes I would have made, if there were time. Time is always the thing. As goes the saying: “Done is better than perfect”. So, knowing that the next project or video will allow me to grow and learn, there are projects that just needed to be completed in order to move on.

But, I’m still haunted by particular projects. Truth be told, I’m haunted by particular projects that I haven’t even scrounged the courage to begin. Perhaps one day I’ll gather the strength to just start working on some of those.
